The BBW take place weekly subject to ideal conditions and aims to train Christians to understand their faith. We don’t want to change what you believe but insist that you grasp the essence of your faith. This concept has been one that has been a shortfall in the lives of too many people who have been exposed to broken models of righteous living and community structure. This is true even in the context of the church.

The workshops are not intended to replace or detract from the function or activities of the local church but aim to supplement and support its biblical mandate to make disciples of all nations.

Although our workshops have been mostly in-person. We find more sustainability in moving our workshops to an online platform. We are currently working on migrating our free offering to a suitable online platform so that we can service the growing needs of our followers over an ever-expanding footprint.

We believe that it is not enough to just know. With a practical understanding of the application of knowledge, we aim to improve the capacity of community members to become more active as well as contributing members of a better living space for everyone in their surroundings.

Improving individual confidence in the hearts and minds of people’s beliefs moves them to live out Biblical righteous ideals by becoming an example to others in their immediate social environment.

Free online resources

The weekly BBW group discussions are based on current topics of interest and are based on continued research and notes thereon. These notes form the cornerstone of the BBW discussion groups and are uploaded to the website at smdn.org.za. It’s posted online in PDF format and is available to anyone as a free download.

A second resource that is available for free is access to rich, attractive and inspirational content in the form of blog posts. These blog posts are also topic-based and access does not require any form of registration or contribution to SMDN.

OUR ONLINE RESOURCES ARE CREATED BY VARIOUS VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE AGREED TO PUBLISH THEIR CONTENT AND AVAIL IT FOR FREE.

Planning Ahead

SMDN is currently also developing a “Grasp what you read” course. This course will be aligned with SAQUA standards and we hope to have it registered as a unit standard-based qualification. It will serve as a revenue stream for SMDN while equipping attendees with the tools they need to better understand their shortfalls, and challenges when it comes to understanding their Bible correctly. It will make the content of the Bible practically applicable and relevant in everyday life by filling the gap that was created by the limitations created by the various translation processes of scripture.

Our Library

Based on our fundamental beliefs as an organisation, we are currently working to establish an archive of Christian material that serves our local community with free resources. This is so that they can find their truth and mature into sound, stable, and responsible citizens.

This library exists because of donated reading material that we catalogue and register on our database. It makes Christian content available to people in our local community. This is especially useful for people who may not always have access to online resources like the elderly or those who live below the bread line.
