A growth hub for passionate Christians

Hypocrites Hiding on the Pulpit

I believe the time has come to call out the hypocrisy of the Pope for what it is.

I am usually not one to speak out against other churches and or other religions. Today I believe the time has arrived for the exception to that norm. We all have our tolerances regarding the woes of the church. In this case I believe that I have reached the end of my ability to remain silent.

For decades the Catholic church has been testing the waters to see if their following was Christian or Catholic.  Over millennia they have introduced false doctrines and misleading ideas that have kept their following captive to the papacy.  Many of us know that the Catholic movement has kept themselves separate from main stream churches.  In fact the Catholic movement have largely held an almost exclusive monopoly on the idea and concept of demonic exorcism.  The Word of God was given to ALL of man. It was and is intended for the benefit of the entire bride of Christ.

Church Origins

Almost every modern church movement has its roots in some way or another in the early Catholic. The church is in some way or another born out of early catholicism.  History tells of many challenges faced by the early churches with medieval ways. Their efforts to convert pagan nations ranged from burning scientists at the stake to engaging in global wars.

Many of these mistakes have helped the global church grow and mature. Its still broken and at times still a desperate bride of Christ.  Perhaps our history and origins in Catholicism has made us blind or tolerant of its significant short comings.  In the same way that we look at our great parents. We tolerate their antiquated ways. The bride has learnt to look the other way when it comes to the ills of this global movement.

I know that attempting to correct the ills of the past is a futile endeavor.  None the less, we have a duty to check and compare the regurgitate preaching that rolls over our pulpits with the essence of Scripture.  Ultimately we are accountable for our own understanding and application of the bible in our personal lives.  As one studies the Word of God, it does teach the essence of our relationship with our Heavenly Father.  Different translations appeal to different pallets but the core message is still authentic.

Dedication

A dedicated student of the Bible will grow in his/her understanding. They apply scripture as they read, study, and grasp Gods word. When we think about it the Bible is actually Gods WORD.  Meddling with it has the potential to put all involved in a dire situation.  I have spoken of the shortfalls of the many bible translations in the past. About how they have kept the plain Kingdom principles hidden even to a literate generation. it seems letracy has not opened up Gods word to the masses. Even with almost free access to bible resources.   This brings us to the point where we read and discuss the latest developments as it was announced by the Vatican.

Pope Francis is in the process of rewriting the Bible into yet another translation.  But with a twist.  It has been reported that the papacy intends to exclude some of the cannonised books we have come to know as belonging in the Bible.  In fact it is their intention to do away with the bible entirely.  This stands in direct contradiction to the notes in Paul’s letter to Timothy

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2Tim.V 16&17

Foolish Boldness

The attempt to shelve the bible hopes to make it obsolete. The Pope is attempting to say that the era of Jesus Christ is outdated. He claims that it needs to give way to a papacy who now is attempting to rewrite a reader friendly version of the bible.  A book that hopes to remain popular by bowing to secular thinking and belief. a Book that teaches false school of thought.

3  If anyone teaches false doctrine and refuses to agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and godly teaching, 4  he is a conceited person and does not understand anything. He has an unhealthy craving for arguments and debates. This produces jealousy, rivalry, slander, evil suspicions,

My View

I have never endorsed the ways of catholic church. I will be the first to acknowledge that there are many people that claim to be catholic that actually live lives that strive to be close to Jesus.  Its true that the vast majority of us are blind to the truth. His pure and holy word in some way or another.  That is after all why we are meant to renew our minds daily.

Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect.

Rom 12:2 ISV

To discard Gods truth because it is no longer popular or convenient should not be seen for what it is. Its nothing less than a betrayal of Gods trust in the church.  I also believe very strongly that teachers of Gods word are held accountable to a much higher standard as the average believer.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more severely than others.

Jas 3:1 I

In addition to a higher standard of accountability before God those who are appointed as leaders over others also have a duty to give an account for their lives.

Continue to follow and be submissive to your leaders, since they are watching over your souls as those who will have to give a word of explanation. By doing this, you will be letting them carry out their duties joyfully, and not with grief, for that would be harmful for you.

Heb 13:17 ISV

The audacity that the papacy has to consider discarding the bible seems so far out that it sounds like it belongs in the book of Revelations.  To imagine such a thing requires a very serious disregard for the hand of God in establishing His Word.  Suggesting it is utter foolishness.  To announce it to the world and actually go through with it is out of bounce. Its nothing short of stepping up to God and blatantly siding with Satan.

The papacy wont be stopped and they will not be swayed by any means.  In my heart this serves as a very vivid reminder that Jesus said that He would return soon and that trails and tribulations would be the portion of the believer.  In my heart and mind this move of the Pope to discard the Bible and announce the publication of their own version thereof  is nothing short of blasphemous and should provoke the strongest reaction in those true believers in Jesus.

God said :…

God is not a human male— he doesn’t lie, nor is he a human being— he never vacillates. Once he speaks up, he’s going to act, isn’t he? Once he makes a promise, he’ll fulfill it, won’t he?

Num 23:19 ISV

The church was not called to conform to and serve the world on its terms.  We were called to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.  The way things stand now shows clearly that the catholic church has no interest in serving God. It has the intention to bow to a fallen world to remain popular with their following.  The church was meant to be the salt of the earth. it was not ment to loose its saltiness to blend in with the world.

May the Lord grant His earnestly seeking bride enough mercy and discernment to ready their lamps and be expectant for His return.

Blatant irreverance for their Creator and Heavenly Faher
